any way to run LFMan in "safe mode"?

I am curently hosted on ouvaton.coop, a cooperative hosting service that only allows php scripts to run in "safe mode". I understand this creates an error when launching LFMan scripts. Is there currently a way to bypass this issue, even at the expense of some functionality?
