I've uploaded the templates avaliable for download from the downloads page. I untarred them with tar -zxpf x.tar.gz, and that worked fine. I then placed the folders created in my plog/templates/ directory, and tried to add them. In the settings place, they are nowhere to be seen, so I went to "add new template". I put the name of the folder into the field, and got this error: "Files need to be in a folder" (or something like that). anyone know whats wrong? -- Mike Welsh IT Manager Bruce Welsh Architect |

First of all, there are two different possibilties to isntall templates: for all the users and only for yourself. If you do it for all the users, then first unpack the template package in the templates/ folder and then go to "Site Admin"->"Add Template" and simply input the name of the template folder in the textbox below where it says "manually add template" However if you try to install it only for your blog, then doing it manually is a little bit trickier... You have to first create a folder named with your blog identifier. For example, if your blog has '10' as the identifier, then you'd have to create the "templates/10/" folder, and unpack the template packege inside that new folder. Once you've done that, you should do the same process as above but this time in "Settings"->"Add template" because now the template won't be globally available but only for your user. So, which option did you choose? Also, make sure that the template files and folder are readable by the web server and so on... Oscar. |
