For the maintainers out there and every one else interested
here is my release planning for the 1.1 -> 1.2 change.
During the next weeks there will one or two final unstable releases
which will be only about bug fixing (and including a user contributed
patch to have paging in combined viewing mode). After those I'll start
with 1.2 release candidates. So after about 3-4 release candidates I
hope to have reached a quality of a bad 1.0.x release and to declare
So the release naming and schedule will propably be this:
1.1.8 (end of this week)
1.2-RC1 (end of November)
1.2.0 (end of this year)
With 1.2.0 I'd like to cancel 1.0.x maintenance and will start the 1.3.x
series. At the moment I think of the following main goals:
- sqlite backend
- item labeling/tagging
- several preference simplications
- and maybe RSS/Atom threading support
But thats just wishful thinking for now.
PS: General question. Is the current bugfix cycle to frequent?
