A while ago I made some experiments with the API which works quite well
but does not integrate well with our own update scheme. But there are
two main problems:
- The current code does not support a dynamic feed list (a similar
unsupported feature is using a OPML file as the contents of a
folder, so you could subscribe to planet) which is needed for this.
- IIRC Bloglines uses something like timestamps to fetch items. To
support this we would need to support a second update mechanism.
My opinion is dynamic feed list shouldn't go into 1.0. But it would
be cool for 1.1. And I don't think that it is very useful to use the
item fetching API of Bloglines.
BTW I'm not aware of many users needing this feature. So it's quite low
on the priority list. If this is not the case please everyone just say
"I need it." here to signalize demand for it. This is true for every
other missing feature too. But please keep in mind how much time and
effort two people can spend.
