I earlier had reported this at https://sourceforge.net/p/liferea/bugs/1017/ but this still doesn't work for me with liferea-1.10.3-1.fc20.x86_64.

I point to my tt-rss install (using https). liferea just tells me 'Updating Tiny Tiny RSS' in the status bar, but nothing ever happens. Any way to collect any debug logs for you to examine?

Are you sure that your Tiny Tiny RSS is self-updating?

Because Liferea is not able to trigger remote updates. That would seem like no items are fetched at all.

This happens when adding the tt-rss source. Even the existing feeds
aren't imported. I see no activity at all in liferea -- the directory
structure isn't created, no feeds are fetched, etc.

And yes, remote updates do work, since I use the web-based UI as the
      primary one without problems.

Ok, the fact that you do not even see the feed structure imported is a good hint. Can you provide a network trace of Liferea accessing the Tiny Tiny RSS instance.

Running "liferea --debug-net" will provide one. Be sure to strip all credentials and sensitive info before posting here!

Thanks, tried that and found the cause myself: api access was
      disabled. Sorry for the noise.
