Somehow 24-72 hours stretched into 15 days, but the CVS repository has now been transformed and all the makefile glue updated (between Perry and I) to work properly once again. Please let me know if you experience any breakages with the new setup. -- Matt Emmerton |

For example - we require autoconf 2.50 (enforced in configure.in), yet my autogen.sh script uses features only found in autoconf 2.53. - we can compile using gettext 10.x and 11.x, but we're using a mix of 10.x and 11.x features. I'd like to requie the following versions of GNU components - can you forsee any problems on Debian (or any other platforms)? autoconf 2.53 automake 1.5 or 1.6 (not sure which yet) gettext 11.x -- Matt Emmerton |

It looks like only the BSD camp (FreeBSD and OS X) are using the newer version of the GNU tools (autoconf 2.5x in particular.) I'll put this on the back-burner for now, and make sure everything works error-free with the 2.13 / 1.4 / 0.10 toolset.
