I believe Mik has posted something about the voice protocol
on the mailing list. You can check the archives. If you
can do it, a patch would be appreciated.

voice chat uses the patented TrueSpeech format. The
TrueSpeech encoder/decoder exists only on windows, so we
have a problem there.
