Hmm...no direct comment on the initial poster's
summary...but nonetheless, I think it would be nice to have
this feature in libyahoo. I've got several friends in other
states I talk to via Yahoo messenger's webcam feature in
Windows, and it's kind of compromising to not have this
feature in Linux. Has anyone looked into doing something
like this? If someone could point me in the direction of
some research or give me a few suggestions, I might be able
to implement it myself.

Both chat feature and webcam would be extremely nice indeed...
I think getting the windoze port of Gaim to work seamlessly
with YTunnelPro would be a real achievement too....
BTW, If your interested in which ports YTunnel uses:
connection.log 4 YTP ---->
[MAIN] Begin connection manager initialization!
[YHOOK] [0] Setting primary hostname to 'scs.msg.yahoo.com'
[YHOOK] Redirecting Yahoo Messenger to 127.0.0.1
[Y!M] Yahoo connecting to 127.0.0.1 on port 5050
[YHOOK] [1] Setting primary hostname to 'scsa.msg.yahoo.com'
[YHOOK] Redirecting Yahoo Messenger to 127.0.0.1
[Y!M] Yahoo connecting to 127.0.0.1 on port 5050
[YHOOK] [2] Setting primary hostname to 'scsb.msg.yahoo.com'
[YHOOK] Redirecting Yahoo Messenger to 127.0.0.1
[Y!M] Yahoo connecting to 127.0.0.1 on port 5050
Messenger port 8000
Voice Port 8001
Webcam Port 8002
hope this helps!

I have no idea why it just added my comment ten times. May
be a bug in sourceforge.
