[Libxmlplusplus-general] problem compiling

Hi,

Happy to see libxml++ is alive again  :-) I currently use it as a core
to ImLib3D.

I had trouble compiling .14pre2:

xml++.cc:290: `XML_ELEMENT_PTR' undeclared (first use this function)

I use libxml2 version 2.4.3.

Otherwise, a few comments or bugs I have found in the past:

xml++.h:261:  is missing _initialized(false)
(thanks the great valgrind for this one!)

xml++.h:301:  is missing  "const"
