Unless you see any problem with that, I will add and implement a
Parser::parse_stream(istream &).
I think this will give much flexibility on the possible data source.
I plan to implement that using the push method (now we have real reasons to
use it). I may ask your help if I fall back on the problems you had
previously with this method.
