I am trying to use the wdi-simple to install USB device driver files consisting of .SYS and .DLL files.
These are dependent upon other USB driver files provided by microchip.
We would prefer not to get a driver or code signing certificate but use libwdi to install these files (which are distributed along with the application).
I understand that libwdi install documentation provides details of how a signed custom driver can be installed and the walkthrough of how to sign the drivers.
My question is, how can I use libwdi to sign the files on-the-fly and install the custom SYS and DLL files using the PKI tools/features available (without using a third-party code/driver signing certificate)? Is this possible?
