Hi all I am working on an alternative version of usb.orgs USBHSET (USB High Speed Electrical Test) suite. This is a app for Windows that let you put hosts, hubs or devices into testmode making it possible to do electrical compliance testing. As this tool is Windows only (and I usually need to test embedded linux hosts) I started the project: openusbhset (on google project hosting). I have successfully implemented test modes for hubs and devices but am unsure how to do this for host. Does libusb have support for controlling root hubs (host)? If not does anyone know how to manipulate a root hub? From what I can gather I might be able to put a host into test mode by modifying its memory map according to the EHCI spec. Any thoughts on this? Kind regardsRené |
