So "-text" (or "-crlf"), which is what I did late July and that caused 
Michael issues?

So we're not going with Peter's "I just don't want CR in the repo"?
Can Peter confirm he's OK with it?

If yes to the above, then we've been on the same page for MSVC files all 
along, and we are considering that the issue experienced by Michael will 
not occur in official.

As Michael pointed out, I already do, as that was requested.
I maintain a list of the 6 latest snapshots here [1] and the archive is 
at [2].
