Unf. Is there a more Macish format that we could use to keep them
from zip? mpkg or dmg maybe?

He already does make snapshots now and then. But I want to have
something general and automated to relieve that manual work. Also
for other repos. And my idea is that pushing an annotated tag (maybe
signed?) to libusb.git is all that will be needed to create a release
tarball.

I'd be happy to use someone else's script for it. :) Input is the
repo and the newly added commit id in whatever way is easy.
