Well, I'm not sure whether .git/config, ~/.gitconfig, or /etc/gitconfig
takes precedence.  But if you leave something unset in one, the other might
take effect.  I was merely saying that posting a file is really inferior to
posting the output of "git config -l", because posting a file leaves room
for these doubts.
