You have so far mentioned: building libusb from source on Gentoo running Windows on hardware running Windows in VirtualBox (on Gentoo? maybe also on Windows?) It would seem to me that you're reporting a problem with USB in Windows in VirtualBox on Linux behaving different from USB in Windows on hardware. This would be about Linux libusb support. Please provide usbmon logs in that case. I have heard a lot of nonsense failures with VirtualBox so I am thoroughly unimpressed by it's capabilities in general and not at all surprised if it is the cause of the problem, but let's find out the details and I'll try to avoid jumping to a conclusion. :) //Peter |
