The problem is that "the" driver for the device would then remove all the HID functionality that Windows provides, which means I need to use a PPJoy virtual joystick to simulate it as a joystick again. All I want to do is read one feature report that Windows won't let me read, and then it will work as a normal HID joystick. By the way, when I am using the Device Driver, there is another problem I am having. Interrupt reads are always failing. So I end up using the GetInputReport via usb control messages as workaround.
