This problem may not so bad as it as first seems. Is this scenario not a possible solution: a FOSS-friendly company will be given, or will develop a driver-loading driver. Sort of like ndiswrapper but all native to Win64. The company will sign a binary of their driver-loading driver and make it public domain. Everyone who wants to ship unsigned drivers will bundle the signed driver-loading driver to get their driver loaded in two steps. -Andy |
