[Libusb-win32-devel] Question about unique ID

Hi  , this is a real USB newbie question ,

Is it possible to talk to a particular usb port on a hub instead of a device
?

Or is it possible to locate an attached device during enumeration to track
the changes on this port ?

Can this be done with libusbWin32 ?

No. Only devices can be talked to as on any other bus. Cable and ports
are only the transport medium.

If the device has a serial number then it can be reidentified. If not it 
is not possible to decide if a replugged device is the same or only one 
of the same manufacture.

Hi . Following this one year old I wanted to have your advice on URB
sending.

I actually enumerate Hubs and devices on WinXP in order to associate A Hub
Number with a Mass Storage Volume.

It works Well .

I want now to send an IOCTL_SET_FEATURE urb to the Hub Device.

I currenlty do this quite easily using LibUSB [1] using LibUSB in Filter
mode.

I'd like now to do it without using LibUSB and use the HardwareID/DeviceID
associated with my hub device instead of the LibUSB aliases.

 Do you think it's possile as long as the generic hub driver support support
this request ?

Which Windows API would be used to send such URB ?
