Could be that another driver has connected to the device. I had this
when I was trying to use libusb-win32 to connect to a mouse (just to
check how to use it!) - I had to overwrite the mouse driver with libusb,
even when using the filter driver. I'm a newbie too, so can't help much
unfortunately.
