#1 Don't depend on GNOME

Depending on GNOME should be made optional since using
a Java program linked against libswt should not force
the user into a GNOME desktop environment.

(I personally don't like desktop environments - I am
using a plain window manager.)

Thank you very much for your feature request/comment. I am
all in favor of desktop and window manager freedom. But the
dependencies are essentially dictated by the Eclipse project.
Nonetheless, there may be something I can do about this and
I will look into it. If possible, I'll structure it to not depend on
gnome by default, and only depend on gnome when
specifically enabled.
