Release 0.6.1
A fresh release is off the press. This is a minor update to the OS with some branding changes. It also includes LTERM (Terminal Client) on the ISO for browsing BBS's or other services.
We are still working on the MSDOS emulator support, which will be released hopefully this year. :)
IRC Server
Kumpute Nation now has it's own IRC server (irc.kumpute.org port 6667). Our main channels are #main and #libredos. You can also access our IRC server from our BBS.
Kumpute Nation BBS
We are working on an old school BBS for LibreDOS users. Telnet into bbs.kumpute.org port 2323 to check it out.
Our goal is to have the BBS serve as a file and messaging base for our operating system.
v0.6 Release
Fresh off the forge is the Version 0.6 bootable ISO (CD) image.
Included are development files (gcc,includes,libraries) and a simple GUI which is is in development.
We're working hard to bring even more features to LibreDOS, including an MS-DOS emulator to allow old dos programs to run. An ne2000 packet driver is also in the works.
