#616 Not Responding

I am a new LibreCAD User with extensive CAD experience. With a fairly simple drawing consisting of 500 or so straight lines on a single plane, LibreCAD seems to lock up with a spinning mouse cursor and the title bar often changes to show "No Responding" in the title. It always comes back after somewhere between 10 and 60 seconds. This behavior occurs on both machines which are Windows 10 21H1 and one is a version 7 Surface and the other is an i7 desktop, lots of RAM and a graphics card with 4K monitor.
