Work around: Place text on the dimension by hand: Not practical/workable for a long period of time or for drawings with more then 10 dimensions to be placed.

I made the drawing on purpose with a fresh sheet to prevent "user" mishap.
I checked the settings and they are equal to the one in the spreadsheet.
Maybe there is some logging I can retrieve for you? I did not find any log settings in the config file.
Added the config file as attachment: The only usefull other file I could find.
(sorry about the quick updates: Just found the real problem scenario by accident):
Oh, fun: When you start librecad from the command line, the dimension texts show with or without the debug parameter.
When you start using a symbolic link, the dimension texts do not show.
Tested scnearios:
Start librecad by using the full path: Dimension text shows
Start librecad using a symbolic link (ln -s /path/to/librecad .) dimension texts do not show
Start librecad using KDE application link containing the full path: Dimension texts show.

Hi Norbert,
You are using a self compiled LibreCad, rigth?
Executing it outside buid unix directory ca'nt found fonts and hatch files.
To solve open LC, select menu "Edit->Application preferences"
In tab Paths add font & hatch path (/path/to/build/librecad/unix/resources/fonts)
Restart LC and check.

I use the binary download.
For this font rendering issue: I think a warning/setup step for the
application might be in place (clearly it is not a bug but just a not so
clear setup issue).

can you reset all dimension sizes/scales?

LC can be set verbose by running with parameter:
/path/to/librecad --debug <verbose level=""></verbose>
where the <verbose level=""> could be a number from 1 to 6, and for the most verbose output:</verbose>
/path/to/librecad --debug 6
In this case, it should be faster to notice:

looks like a font file missing issue. will investigate.

Hello Rallaz,

Alt+F2 opens a search box on openSUSE... don't know about ubuntu.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Find#Examples
If you want to use the latest beta version:
https://launchpad.net/~librecad-dev/+archive/ubuntu/librecad-daily
You might also need to change the text height in
current drawing preferences -> dimensions.i need to setup the fonts file in librecad but don't know where it is too new to linux thanks for the help
