libpam-sfs 0.2.2 released and Debian package uploaded

Trivial spelling/grammar error fixed in debian/control. Allows me to close a Debian bug.

Version 0.2.1 checked in. Debian package uploaded.

The 0.2.1 version has been checked in. It contains minor Debian packaging changes. No code changes. It is equivlanent to 0.2.0.

Debian package uploaded.

Now that Jaakko Niemi is a Debian maintainer and has uploaded the sfs-client, sfs-server, sfs-lib, and sfs-dev Debian packages to non-us.debian.org, I can go ahead and upload libpam-sfs Debian packages. Hopefully, a larger user community will result in more problem reports which will result in a more robust libpam-sfs :)

Anonymous CVS access FINALLY working.

SourceForge's conversion to an LDAP-based user account management system has fixed, finally, the anonymous CVS access problems that have plauged this project. I encourage interested parties to try checking out the CVS source directly.

libpam-sfs 0.2.0 released (alpha)

Changes to handler::IsHomeInSFS to better determine if home directories point into /sfs.

libpam-sfs 0.1.0 released (alpha)

anon CVS continues to be broken so I have released version 0.1.0 for those of you who would like to see the source

GAR! at least we know the problem now

Turns out the anoncvs_libpam-sfs account has a uid of 66254... which is greater than 65534!!! SourceForge has patched their kernel and libc to support 32-bit uids, but I guess something else needs some fixing, too. If you can't tell, I'm getting quite annoyed... I have submitted three support requests and they keep getting closed with 'everything is fine' type replies. Finally, today, I got a hold of a live person (precision) and he will fix it. GAR!

www working; ftp broken; anon cvs broken

I apologize for the continued delays in getting this project's SourceForge stuff working, but it is beyond my control. On a positive note, the project's home dir was set up, which means that I can make a www site for the project. Currently, the site points back to the SourceForge project page.

mailing list has finally been set up

The mailing list has finally been set up. My mailing list support request is still unassigned, so I suspect that the SourceForge 'sync' mechanism is starting to work again. Unfortunately, the project home dir is still not set up (no web or ftp site, therefore) and the anonymous CVS access is still broken. I'll keep you posted.

mailing list, web site, and ftp site also broken

Ok, SourceForge really hasn't got it's act together yet. The home directory for the project, /home/groups/libpam-sfs, isn't set up, so that means there's no web site or ftp site. The mailing list is also fubar. I have submitted three service requests today. We'll see how long it takes to get reponses.

Anon CVS access still broken.

I have submitted more support requests today to the SourceForge people. I think this migration has gone less smoothly than they are willing to admit. Email me at lfilipoz@debian.org if you want a tar ball in the mean time.

Anonymous CVS access broken.

The subject says it all. I've submitted a problem report to SourceForge.

We're Alive! (yes, really)

Looks like the SourceForge folks are getting things back to normal. This project now has a working CVSROOT and I have just imported my source files. Please follow the CVS link to see how to gain anonymous access to the libpam-sfs CVS.

CVSROOT still not ready.

The migration of the SourceForge system to new servers, a new backend database, and a new user authentication system (LDAP), means that things aren't getting set up as quickly as they normally would for this project. I'll be submitting a support request in the next day or two.

We're Alive (Nearly)

Although this project's "project page" exists, neither the CVS repository nor the project's home directory exist on the SourceForge servers (yet). SourceForge is undergoing some major server migrations and upgrades this week. It is hoped that the CVS will be set up by the weekend.
