    Hello,

I wanted to ask if you guys are planning on bringing support for the new 1500 PLC's from Siemens. I don't know if the communication protocol is the same or if they have changed it.

Have you done some testing on these new PLC's?

    Thank you!
    Otto

I haven't yet had a 1500 at my disposal. I've done some tests with 1200s. There is an extended protocol. But it is still possible to read from data blocks IF YOU SAY NO to "optimized data storage" or something like this (my TIA is german) in the data block's properties dialog.

I guess this is the same with 1500. Further, I am pretty sure that you'll have to do the same thing to use other third party software like OPC servers, HMI and SCADA programs.

    Hello

I've tried to connect to S7-1500 with libnodave.
No matter what kind of memory i am trying to access it always reports an error:
"context is not supported. Step7 says:Function not implemented or error in telgram"

It looks like libnodave does not support S7-1500.
    Any ideas?

    Best regards
    WK
