Why remote? I've looked at DivX sources - they support too few of 
MPEG-4. Primarily the internals are much the same as MPEG-2, except for 
more complicated Huffman decoder and post-processing (deblocking, 
smoothing, etc.) MC, IDCT, color conversion, and architecture may be 
reused. So IMHO we can add support for lower MPEG-4 natural video 
profiles...
