At this time there is no nonlinear solver interface for petsc.
We are in the process of an ongoing design discussion which will
hopefully allow a nonlinear system to be solved in the same
framework as the current linear solvers.  Ben is moving to Houston
right now, and is probably without internet access, otherwise
I'm sure he would have something to post about this.
