I looked into =configure=, and found this:

     $as_echo "#define PETSC_HAVE_MUMPS 1" >>confdefs.h

Then found this in config.status:

     D["PETSC_HAVE_MUMPS"]=" 1"

Then, my config.log shows:

but I cannot find conftest.cpp. This put a question mark on my face :) .
