Specifically, u displacements are close to zero, like 0.0002, but v displacements are -3.653 (clearly not zero!) when the transverse loading = 1 at the beam tip. Hi David, I made two minor changes to systems_of_equations_ex4.C (mesh and transverse loading): MeshTools::Generation::build_square (mesh, 50, 10, 0., 10., -0.5, 0.5, QUAD9); Fv(i) += JxW_face[qp]* (1.) * phi_face[i][qp]; // -1 to 1 I checked displacement.e with visit, and the overall trend seems right. But I cannot understand why v displacements at the clamped root are not zeros. ```
