Was the -L/usr/local/lam-mpi/lib necessary?  Your petscconf file is
already adding the linker directory option
-L/usr/local/lam-mpi-7.1.3.gcc410.gfortran.sharedlib.usysv.pbspro/lib,
and I'd assume that lam-mpi is just a symlink to
lam-mpi-7.1.3.gcc410.gfortran.sharedlib.usysv.pbspro on your system,
right?
