I just got the same error. The problem seems to be related to
the cxxflags Ben has changed some weeks ago in the tetgen Makfile.
If I compile tetgen with
CXXFLAGS :=3D -DNDEBUG -DTRILIBRARY -fPIC
in the libmesh/contrib/tetgen/Makfile the example runs fine
with e.g. tetgen.triangulate_conformingDelaunayMesh(1.4, .5);
Hm, I do not know what goes wrong with the other option.
Perhaps, someone else does.
