Farkas, As Tom mentioned in the thread, the intention is that libjpeg 6x is intended to remain ABI compatible which makes me nervous about changes to boolean or INT32 definitions. I have run into frequent issues with the boolean definition myself in builds with libtiff and often have to futz with it. I'd like to improve things but I don't want to alter the ABI. It might be a good idea to file a very clear summary ticket on the issue in the libjpeg bug tracker. Hopefully this area of confusion will be dealt with in libjpeg 7x.
