The ITL library (libitl) is a shared library that allows applications to convert between Hijri/Gregorian dates and compute Muslim prayer times and Qibla direction based on multiple methods of calculation.
Part of the Islamic Tools and Libraries project (ITL) hosted and developed at Arabeyes.org (www.arabeyes.org).

New features

  • Added a new method, for more info see prayertime/doc/method-info.txt.
  • Added preliminary support for delta-t
  • Added improved Invalid/error handling for all prayers

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug causing wrong Assr prayer times in Southern hemisphere locations.
  • Fajr and Ishaa Intervals will not be set when Maghrib/Shurooq is 99 (i.e. invalid)

Build process changes

  • We now ship a configure script by default in packages, and Autoconf is no longer required to compile the library.
  • Added proper static library building by default
  • Added preliminary support for libtool using the "libitl-libtool" make option
