Right now, the libexif project has four categories of tracker entries enabled at SourceForge: Bugs, Feature Requests, Patches and Support Requests. I propose removing the last two, since for a project like libexif they're redundant. People submitting patches will be submitting them to fix bugs or introduce new features--the two existing categories (the two current outstanding patches would be perfectly at home in the Bugs category). Having a Support Requests category implies that someone will be reading them and replying to them. Unfortunately, we don't seem to have the manpower here to do that. The existing support request entries date back to 2003 and almost all of them have gone unanswered. New support requests should be directed to this mailing list where they'll have a chance of being noticed and answered, or filed under the Feature Requests category. If noone disagrees, I'll recategorize the open items and likely bring a few still-relevant items to this list. >>> Dan -- http://www.MoveAnnouncer.com The web change of address service Let webmasters know that your web site has moved |
