OK, Arnaud and I tested them, here are the results:
1. Arnaud quickly found a flaw with expr syntax while building which
caused configure output to look bad. This is fixed.
2. Then, I tried to write a test case to check that message
translation works correctly and discovered:
a) The existing programs in test/ aren't used at all at
"make check" time, so libexif still contains no checks.
We should write a few shell scripts to use those binaries and
add them to TESTS. This is nothing release critical, though.
b) The translation support is currently broken, and that is
release critical. I'm currently writing a test case and will
only release libexif when I have a working test case.
