Hello, gentle maintainer. This is a message from the Translation Project robot. A revised PO file, for programs using the textual domain `libexif', has been submitted by the team of translators taking care of the German language. This particular file, along with all other PO files pertaining to the same textual domain, is available as: > http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/translation/maint/libexif/de.po The file should soon be made available in mirror sites as: > ftp://ftp.unex.es/pub/gnu-i18n/po/maint/libexif/de.po > http://translation.sf.net/maint/libexif/de.po We may arrange things so future such files be automatically e-mailed to you when they arrive. Ask to the address below if you want this. The following HTML page should also be updated by tomorrow. > http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/translation/HTML/domain-libexif.html Please consider including all PO files, as they stand, in the `po/' subdirectory of your next release of programs using that textual domain, whether it is official or pretest. Whenever you have a distribution ready which holds a newer PO Template, please send the URL of this distribution to the address below. The distribution could be a pretest or a snapshot, it does not even have to compile. This is to be used by translators, when they need to get some translation context from your sources. Within the Translation Project, each PO Template file should have different version numbers, but since it is not OK to have two different distributions using same version numbers, this is not a problem in practice. Contact me if any question arises. Thanks for your collaboration, The Translation Project robot, in the name of your translation coordinator. mailto:tra...@ir... |

I did re-read the doc several time before making the change. If anybody has a question, feel free to ask. Hub |

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi! I just upgraded to libexif-0.6.13 and noticed that now several packages depending on libexif (like libexif-gtk and gthumb) do not compile anymore. The reason seems to be a change in the "libexif.pc" pkgconfig file: the explicit libexif include path switch was removed ("-I/usr/include/libexif") and now other packages which use pkgconfig to create their compile flags have compile problems. I don't know if this modification was intentional, but libexif include files still live in /usr/include/libexif/ and without the additional "-I" switch the compiler can not find them. In the case of libexif-gtk, the configure script falls back to an old libexif library version and the build fails, too. I changed libexif.pc to provide this additional "-I" switch for the CFLAGS variable and now libexif-gtk and gthumb do compile correctly again even with libexif-0.6.13. I made a small patch implementing this change: - --- libexif/libexif/libexif.pc.in 17 Mar 2005 15:58:18 -0000 1.1.1.2 +++ libexif/libexif/libexif.pc.in 3 Jan 2006 09:45:57 -0000 @@ -8,4 +8,4 @@ Requires: Version: @VERSION@ Libs: -L${libdir} -lexif -lm - -Cflags: -I${includedir} +Cflags: -I${includedir}/libexif -I${includedir} You'll also find the patch attached to this mail (enigmail tends to corrupt inline patches... ;-) HTH Regards, andreas - -- Andreas Haumer | mailto:an...@xs... *x Software + Systeme | http://www.xss.co.at/ Karmarschgasse 51/2/20 | Tel: +43-1-6060114-0 A-1100 Vienna, Austria | Fax: +43-1-6060114-71 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFDul+txJmyeGcXPhERAv8oAJ9TLYGXhij+GJZbgT9Bh7OTfJeUPwCgq6UG 8I61sMRkx3+SkB79yJO6btE= =GK8M -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Hi, I have a question about the versioning of libexif. Current libexif set version in configure.ac as follow: LIBEXIF_AGE=1 LIBEXIF_REVISION=0 LIBEXIF_CURRENT=12 AC_SUBST([LIBEXIF_AGE]) AC_SUBST([LIBEXIF_REVISION]) AC_SUBST([LIBEXIF_CURRENT]) LIBEXIF_VERSION_INFO=`expr $LIBEXIF_CURRENT + \ $LIBEXIF_REVISION`:$LIBEXIF_AGE:$LIBEXIF_REVISION That creates libexif.so.12.0.1 I don't really understand, and I currently think it is wrong. LIBEXIF_VERSION_INFO is passed to the -version-info libtool flag. But, the libtool documentation say that it is CURRENT:REVISION:AGE and not CURRENT:AGE:REVISION like it is done here Other point: why does the CURRENT value passed to libtool is LIBEXIF_CURRENT + LIBEXIF_REVISION. That is just wrong. It should just be LIBEXIF_REVISION. That would create libexif.so.12.1.0 which make more sense and actually match what to expect for .so versioning. Did I miss something? Hub |

KO KO PETROLEUM (KKPT) - Friday Alert Up Over 100% Current Price: 1.60 Up $1.07 In Last 7 days Symbol - KKPT Watch out the sto ck go crazy Friday morning KOKO Petroleum, Inc. (KKPT) issued an update on its working interest investment in two wells in the prolific Barnett Shale Play located in northern Texas. Under the terms of the participation agreement with Rife Energy Operating, Inc. (the program's operator), KOKO Petroleum has acquired a minority working interests (approx. 10%) in the drilling and completion of two wells; the Boyd #1 and the Inglish #2 both of which have been drilled but not yet completed. The operator is in the process of setting casing on the Inglish 2 and the Boyd is awaiting a sufficient water supply to start the completion. Due to the heavy influx of major operators in the area (Encana and XTO), scheduling completions and any other types of oil field services has been very difficult. Operators in the area have had to schedule well completions three to four months in advance. This coupled with the fact that Northern Texas has experienced a major drought causing serious shortfalls of local water. Rife, as an alternative, has drilled a water well, which was the source of drilling water for the Inglish 2 and Boyd 1. Rife has five wells that have been drilled and are awaiting completions. The Barnett Shale is the largest natural gas play in Texas. It is presently producing 900 MMCF of gas per day and is considered one of the largest U.S. domestic natural gas plays with sizable, remaining resource potential. The first Barnett Shale wells were drilled and completed in the early 1980s by Mitchell Energy of Houston, Texas. According to an in-depth 2004 sector report on the Barnett Shale, developed by Morgan Stanley (MWD), the Barnett Shale play is estimated to hold reserves in the non-core area that could be as high as 150 BCF per 1,000 acres. The report estimated that because of the amount of gas available in the area, successful wells in the Barnett Shale should be economically viable in almost any gas price environment. "The well logs are very encouraging, as were the wells they offset. Our operator is very resourceful and we should have these wells completed by the end of the year," says Ted Kozub, President of KOKO Petroleum, Inc. On the Corsicana front, KOKO and its Partner have applied for the drilling permits to commence the first 15 Nacatoch wells, casing is being delivered to the site and drilling will commence upon receipt of the permits. |

Colleagues, In CVS, exif-data.c version 1.85 includes this code: if (s & 1) (*ds)++; But in the official release 0.6.12, the source code is if (s & 1) *ds++; This is a severe error and is highly likely to cause a crash (or worse, a silent, impossible to find bug) whenever this line of code is executed. Therefore, I believe that a new official release of libexif is urgently needed. -- David Arnstein arn...@po... |
