I'm currently developping a little mail/rss status application that uses the
libEtPan library. It seems to be a good choice, as everything I need is
available in that nice library :)
But I encounter a problem with RSS feeds: if I use the usual generic
interface with feed_mail_storage and mail_folder, the mailfolder_status
always tells me there is no item in the storage. But if I use the specific
"newsfeed" structure, with a simple set_url and update it, then
feed_item_list contains actually the items...
I've digged a little bit, and it looks like the feed_last_update attribute
of the associated feed_session_state_data structure is never intialized,
causing it to eventually contain a random date. And just because of this,
the newsfeed structure would never be actually updated. Am I right ?
Please tell me if you need more details on this issue.
PS: setting it manually to "-1" after the mailfolder_connect is a useful
workaround for me :-)
