Liberté Linux 2011.2 Released

ISO images are now available in addition to ZIP files, which is useful for VMs and independent installs. EXT2-4 filesystems are now supported as well. Kernel was upgraded to 2.6.39 with SquashFS XZ compression and NX support; PentiumIII+ with PAE support is now required. All RAM is wiped on shutdown/reboot, regardless of 3 GiB address space limit. In X server, better touchpad support, better integration in VirtualBox (including shares automount), VMWare, QEMU guest. HFS and HFS+ filesystems are now supported as read-only automounts. Audio mixer channels are now heuristically set up on boot.

Added an applet for switching Tor identity. I2P is experimentally supported via "gentoo=i2p" kernel argument. HTP time daemon has been hardened and extended. LUKS/OTFE partition now supports file permissions (sanitized during boot), and utilizes NTFS compression. Cables communication is now a separate project, and supports I2P addresses (in addition to Tor). A cables identity information applet has been added.

Added HTML5 and plugin-based video/audio support to Midori; MPlayer has been also replaced with GStreamer-based Totem. Added SASL authentication and OTR encryption support to XChat, which now comes set up with Tor-friendly IRC networks. Added PPTP/OpenVPN/Cisco VPN support to NetworkManager. Replaced xvkbd with Florence virtual keyboard.
