Today marks the release of Liberatio 0.0.3 and the move towards an all-JXTA communications platform. Gone are the days of Web services, RPC, and punching holes through firewalls. JXTA will enable Liberatio to communicate directly with clients regardless of network topology or obstacles (save an open port 80 if you're communicating over the Internet).
In an effort to build an image for Liberatio and to inform the community about the project, we have published our project's first Website located at http://liberatio.sourceforge.net/ We also took this opportunity to establish a nice logo for the project - also to build an image for Liberatio
Version 0.0.2 of Liberatio Systems Management has been released. Improvements include a database configuration page and a new user interface for the web application.
Today is the first release of Liberatio Systems Management. This release offers the basic functionality of Liberatio. Hardware inventory is available, though the web application interface does not show all information. Inventory is collected via JAX-WS Web Services, but will soon be provided by JXTA. Package deployment and remote desktop will too be offered when JXTA is implemented.
