Hello all, I'm a bit new with libdv, so apologize in advance for my possible ignorance about the following questions. I've compiled the latest cvs release on Fedora Core 4 and openSuSE 10 RC1 on an AMD64 3800+ dual core system. I was curious about the following: gtk+ and glib libdv requires gtk+ and glib version 1.2.4 or > and will fail with v2.x due to lack of glib-config. Is there no way to make libdv work with the 2.x versions of gtk+ and glib? Or is it really that tied in to the v1.2.4+ flavor of these libraries? playback speed There was a slow playdv speed issue with AMD64 that had some fixes in CVS. Right now with the sample pond.dv and some clips I captured, 1st use of playdv still has some slow (but not near as bad) playback issues. Second use of playdv will rip right through any .dv clip as fast as possible (so it seems).. What speed is playdv shooting for: Framerate of .dv file or as fast as possible? playback with dvconnect I'm using a Canopus ADVC-110 DV Converter box on firewire. The box has both Analog in/out and DV in/out and looks like a generic DV camera device on the firewire. I can capture fine with the box via dvconnect, but can not seem to be able to playback through the ADVC when using dvconnect -s file.dv. I'm guessing there's an AVC command needed to do that? Is that beyond the scope of dvconnect and if so, is there something else I can use to do this? Please let me know if you need any more info Thanks |
