Although it not a public project the company I work for (Cention) is  
using libdbi (although slightly tweaked to get access to some extra  
functions for our search engine) in our main product Cention Contact  
Center.

This software have live installation all over the world, including  
America, Asia and Europe. Some of Scandinavia's largest call center  
are running this application.

So i would say the  libdbi software is very much stable and have been  
ready for prime time for a very long time.

Also the programming language Ferite[1] is getting a larger user base  
everyday and the dbi module for that language is written as layer on  
top of libdbi.

Most defiantly, we are using CVS from about a couple of months in our  
production code base.


+1 to release a new version.


I also want to add some code to use prepared staements and cursors,  
but that will have to wait.
I would be very happy to see a new stable release to see the day light.
