I've fiddled a bit with test_dbi.c I brought the error number down to:

Completed "libdbi framework test": 260 passes, 27 failures, 0
exceptions.

All remaining problems are related to retrieving field attributes from
result sets. I'm not sure whether these are bugs in the driver or in
the test harness. I'll look into this as soon as time permits.
