Dear libcoap community, I am pleased to announce the official release 4.2.1 of libcoap! This release is merely a bugfix release for version 4.2.0. Header paths for Windows build have been corrected as well as the uninstall target. Moreover, the epoll() system call is now supported to facilitate integration with other applications that have their own main loop, the documentation in manual pages has been improved a lot. Among the new features is a pre-processor symbol COAP_CONSTRAINED_STACK to limit the use of automatic variables. CoAP functionality such as block-wise transfer has been improved. A big THANK YOU to all of you who have worked so hard at the improvement of libcoap. Version 4.2.1 is very important on the way to the next release 4.3.0 which will bring a number of API changes and new functionality. Again a big thank you to Jon Shallow and many other people for your valuable contributions! Best regards Olaf |
