Alternately, we could do what the Haskell version does -- offer a choice
between compile-time polymorphism (direct uses of SBasis, Bezier, etc)
and run-time polymorphism (wrapped in Curve).
That lets us choose either approach as appropriate, without forcing a
performance tradeoff.
