LGeneral 1.4.1 Released

I made new icons for the GUI panel as the merely scaled ones lookd pretty messy and also made the panel a little less wide. Thanks to ales_dj who has submitted a few patches to fix compile/packaging procedure. [end]

LGeneral 1.4.0 and LGEditor 0.3 Released

As 16:9 is standard now I decided to redesign the GUI a little. I added a fixed panel on the right side which makes usage hopefully a little less confusing with when and how to left/right click. Also to simplify things instead of many video modes 1366x768 is the fullscreen resolution (anything above doesn't make sense) and 800x600 the window resolution. Both LGeneral and the editor now use ASCII tokens in the resource files (but still accepting the old ones so no reconversion needed) which makes it a lot easier to edit files with a text editor as it removes the encoding issues with the old tokens. It is also possible now to add land, air, sea transporters to units in the editor. [end]

LGeneral Editor 0.2 Released

It is now a basic scenario editor: You can change terrain, flags and units. On loading/creating only a map some generic scenario info is added. It still needs to be changed by hand with any text editor but as the most important things are handled by the LGeneral editor (well except for victory conditions...) it's pretty useful already. [end]

Map Editor for LGeneral released

To play around with SDL2 and C++ (after a very long time...) I wrote a small map editor for LGeneral called lgeditor (it's in the LGeneral section). GUI and usage is very simple but it should work. [end]

LMemory got pimped!

I recently started playing LMemory a lot more as I forget a lot of things nowadays. Turned out to be quite fun (especially on the phone when waiting somewhere) so I went through the Tango Desktop project again to grab more icons and increase the number of cards on all difficulties (it's now 5x4, 5x6 and 7x8). Also icons are bigger now which is quite helpful. [end]

New web site

To learn more about CSS and responsive web design I reworked this web site from scratch. Content is the same but now newer techniques are used for layouting (instead of 15 year old tables and spacer images...). It should also work on mobiles (especially the online games which are supposed to be optimized for portrait, didn't know how to block landscape so it will just look scrappy there). I hope everything works, I could only check it on a few devices. [end]

LGeneral 1.3.1 Released

LGeneral 1.2.5 Released

Thanks to Tez Bartlomiej LGeneral now provides a "Goto Unit" menu to easily select any unit on the map from a list and level bombers can attack and temporarily destroy airfields and cities. The latter requires to rerun the converter lgc-pg to work.
And after years of denial... yes, finally core unit support is on its way but not done yet. [end]

Free World War I scenario package available for LGeneral

k.u.k General created by Steve McGuba has now been released by him under a CC-BY-SA 3.0 license, so finally Markus Koschany at Debian was able to create a package out of it. It is available as a tarball at LGeneral's project page as well (it does not require the original PG data). It still needs a lot of tweaking to become real fun but it is actually already great to have this as a free game content for LGeneral. If you could give it a try (just download, extract and copy to the LGeneral installation directory) and report back any issues you encounter to Markus Koschany it were really helpful. You can file bug reports at https://packages.debian.org/unstable/lgeneral-data Thanks and enjoy! [end]
