Hello. I've found when re-launching WebKit that it attempts to load sites but fails and never gets past trying to connect to server. Usually this happens when reopening all windows from last session. I have also seen it happen when trying to open fresh sites or picking an item from the history menu.

This duplicates the old Safari bug from 10.4.11 where upon opening it after a fresh reboot it keeps thrashing the HD as if it was looking on the HD for the internet! :-D

Closing and reopening tends to fix it.

Well, this has been that way ever since I've been using Safari.
I haven't investigated but I think it rebuilds some icon or cache database when it wasn't closed cleanly.
But I've got the impression that it will always succeed in loading the sites once it has finished accessing the HD.

Well it would be good if it gave some message rather than indicate that it was loading. Usually I just give up and quit it. In worse cases the tabs I had open are destroyed when reopening. This is quite annoying. I tend to open them all from history. But then they can all be deleted when it reopens with all blank tabs!

In order to reliably restore the last session I use Glims.
You find the download link on the wiki: [Home] - I hope the link still works.

Thanks for the tip. Got it installed. Now is there an app to restore lost web and wifi passwords? ;-)
