Hello legong helpers and developers, FIRST MESSAGE OF THIS LIST! :-) Welcome all! Some words about the Legong team members. At the moment most of the members are germans so maybe there will be some language problems because we are no native english speakers. So i.e. my english is not the very best. Sorry for that, i will try to "fix" this in the future... A list off the current team members and what they will do within the project: 1.) Timo Haberkern (me): Project Admin and developer. Developer of the JOE (java oriented editor), the "roots" of legong. JOE is a (german only) java editor written in C++/MFC. Location: Germany 2.) Björn Wallmeier: Creator of the JOE (in future Legong) website (www.javaeditor.de) and Support forum. He is also the "Master-Moderator" of the JOE/Legong forum. Location: Germany 3.) Kay Tönnies: Documentation Writer for the legong project. Location: Germany 4.) Ricky Berghold: Developer Location: Germany 5.) Philipp Brune: Developer Location: Germany 6.) Manuel Salvatore: Developer Location: Italy 7.) Chetan Chudasama: Developer Location: USA (if i'm right) Little roadmap: I plan to give Legong a start this weekend. I got my IDE installed yesterday. So i can begin to code. Till Sunday i hope to have a basic Main-Frame with a main menu, about dialog, splash window and a tabbed MDI interface. I will check this version into the Legong CVS. This should be the version that we developers use as a starting point. May we should discuss about features and a roadmap for versions of Legong. My wishes for the first release of Legon: - Syntax Highlighting of Java, XML, HTML and JSP files (done with the Scintilla component) - Project management for java projects - Visual Studio.NET Look&Feels of the application (done with the Magic Library, http://www.dotnetmagic.com/) - Compiling, Starting of projects and single files - A bunch of java wizards ("New Project", "New class/interface", Wizards for Swing controls) - Code competion templates mechanism - Class Browser (with methods and properties) more ideas from your side???
