I think there is a Portugese version (although I'm not sure, since I don't read/write Portugese) of learnloop developed by Instituto de Informatica, Portificia universidade ( http://www.inf.pucminas.br/learnloop/ ). They havn't contributed the code to us so you have to ask them to send the code to you.

The development of learnloop 2 is very active at the moment. There is a changelog of the activity on the CVS, check it out at http://onnerby.se/~daniel/learnloop2_ChangeLog.php
The core-functionality of learnloop2 is (almost) finished, but there is still a lot of work to be done on the modules.
Here's a list of some of the already developed new core-features of learnloop2:
      * Login using YP/NIS (*NIX-login).
      * Login using Active Directory (Windows domain-logon) and the abillity to syncronize users and groups.
      * Login using eDirectory (Novel Netware login).
      * Nice formating in many textareas using HTMLArea from http://www.interactivetools.com/products/htmlarea/
      * A whole new structure/rights-system with the abillity to set access on folder-level, timelimit folders and modules, create aliases from other workspaces, etc...
      * Translation. Each user can have different language and it's now very easy to add a new language and translate everything. New languages/translations can also be imported/exported using a special XML-format.
      * Themes. LearnLoop 2 comes with a bunch of themes and it's very easy to create a new theme.
      * Security. A lot of work has been done to make the new core secure and stable.

      Hope this answers your questions.
      /Daniel

Hello. I've made the portuguese translation of Learnloop 1.0, I have to look out if I still have the files.

The Learnloop used at PUC is a modified version. And I never received any reply from them concearning Learnloop.

But I think that is better to translate either the stable version or the 2.0.

If you are in a hurry to use it, let me know and I'll send the files if I found them.

      Hi Daniel

Thank you for your detailed answer. Ill contact the folks at PUC.

So SCORM compatibility is not scheduled to come in the next version of LearnLoop?

      Again thanks for your attention.

      best wishes,

      Jairson

I think it's essential that learnloop 2 is SCORM compilant or it wont be a potential choise of LMS. Right now it's not, but I'm looking at SCORM for my new job, so I'm still learning the best way to implement it into the LL-core.
BTW: I got a new job working with Per sberg (that I developed LL 1 with) again in a e-learning company called intermezzon. I will start my new job as soon as my paternity leave ends.
