I just uploaded a patch that fixes the annoying issue of readline
echoing your password if you mistype it.

Rafael, are your reading this list anymore?  I have a couple of older
patches uploaded as well, which I announced on this list.  I haven't
heard anything, and I wonder if you're still here.
